20 Reasons to have your own Website.

Get a Domain name. Get Hosting. Write your pages. Upload. Tell the
World.
Reasons to have your own Website:
1. Improve your Credibility as an Internet Marketer, as a Teamleader.
2. Send email using your chosen domain name.
3. Make your training info/tips easily available to your affiliates by
writing it on a webpage.
4. Setup a Blog on your site. (CPanel hosting make it a 5 minutes task
using Fantastico on
CPanel to auto-install a WordPress blog on your website). Posting to
your Blog on a regular basis
will improve your site's exposure on the Search Engines. I have just
been learning about how to use your
WordPress Blog to get traffic to your site from the Social BookMarking
sites. It is in some ways similar to posting
ads to Free Classified sites. I will tell you more on this later.
5. Similarly auto-install a Forum where your Team's affiliates could
help one another and you could
help them all. You could make a private formum for your SFI Team
Members only.
6. Adding your own content on a regular and continued basis will likely
get you noticed by the Search Engines.
You could allow your affiliates to submit Articles which you could host
for them to get them a link back to their
site or to their SFI Gateway.
7. Initially you could setup a page to FRAME your favorite SFI Gateway
(or for several Gateways).
8. Make ebooks, software, Special Reports downloadable in your
Teammembers Only section.
9. Host a site for one of your affiliates as a folder of your main
website.
For instance mysfiwebsite/XXXXXXXX where XXXXXXXX could be their
affiliate number or their name or company name.
10. Remember that the site can do much more for you than just contain a
link to your SFI Gateway.
11. Setup an RSS feed so you can deliver your Sales messages or
Training messages without needing their email address.
If you need to become familiar with RSS, first get an RSS reader and
find a site with an RSS feed to subscribe to.
My favorite reader is free at: rssreader (That site also has
an RSS Feed Publisher for free.)
12. Setup a Form on a page to collect visitors name and email address.
Set the form to post the information to your
Autoresponder or at least a database on your site.
13. Setup a page for exchanging relevant links to other websites to
improve in bound links.
14. Allows you to join Traffic Swarm or other traffic exchanges to get
some free traffic. Copy/pasting code to some of
your pages (following instructions).
15. Install (follow instructions) an Autoresponder on your webserver so
you can use it to automate your email followup tasks.

another page. This allows you to hide your

questions that you are often asked and your person
answer to each question.
19. Put Audio or Video on a webpage. Saves you typing and saves the

* What is a Website Host?

That means that they provide the space for someone to place their
webpages. It will be on a computer called a Web Server. A Web Server
is just a computer that is attached to the Internet with a fast
connection. It has special software loaded so that it will respond for
requests for web pages.

* How Much Does it Cost?

As with much that is for sale on the Internet, you can find a wide
range of prices. You can pay too much for too little. And by doing a
lot of searching and comparing you can narrow your list down. I have
already done a lot of that searching and digging and reading and
listing and comparing. How about $25.00/month? (I am using this

search engine and search for "reseller web hosting" which will be less
expensive than "dedicated web server". Try them both to get a sense of
what is out there.

* How Long Will it Take to Set Up?

Depending on what type of hosting you choose, you can get it setup
within a day, usually and within a few days even in the case of
dedicated servers.

* What Technical Skill Does it Require?

You don't really need much technical skill. There are a few steps
involved, but it's all really pretty simple. The difficulty is in the
fact that you have never done it before and that you don't know what to

have one, anyway.First of all, you need one because almost all hosting
now is setup using domain names and not I.P. (Internet Protocol)

· Name Servers
Without getting technically complicate, it goes like this: When you
purchase your domain name, it is easiest if you already know the Names
Server information for your hosting account. You will be given this
information by the Hosting Company. It is in the form of 2 addresses
like
Nameserver1: NS1.MYNAMESERVER.COM
Nameserver2: NS2.MYNAMESERVER.COM
So, if you already know this BEFORE you purchase your domain name, you
can usually enter this information at the same time that you purchase
your domain name.
Using the Web Host Control PanelThe most common are CPanel/WHM, and
Plesk. As usual, you have to make a decision. But if you have never
used either. Just learn to use the one that comes with your hosting.
The link shown above uses the first one, which I think is a little more
user friendly.

* How Do I Get Started, Today?

Have a notepad and write down information as you go through. You WILL
need that information later on. Save on this step by getting RoboForm's
free version and that program will remember this for you.

Do it for your own websites first because as a User, you will have to

Follow Up Emails Easiest Autoresponder Install

Get this free version of a Smart Autoresponder.
(I have evaluated a bunch of autoresponder, this is the best free one
that I know about.)
It is called "Email Marketing Assistant".

The one significant thing missing is a double opt-in system. The double
opt-in system that automatically sends the subscriber an email
requiring them to click a link in order to get added to your list. You
will want this at some point. But if you just want to see what
installing a script is like, this is a nice one to try.Oh, it is a
script that runs on your website. If you don't have a website this is
one of the strongest reasons to get one. It will run on inexpensive
($5/month) hosting. I am going to add it to the hosting package that I
give my Executive Affiliates. I will install it on their website for
them.
Follow up should be done promptly and regularly after that. Don't let
too much time go by before you contact a new affiliate.
If you are sending any new lead through your own website so that you
might persuade her to give you her Name and Email address and her
permissison to send her follow up information, you will have that in
your database of some sort.
This free version will autogenerate the html code that you copy/paste
into a webpage to create the signup form!
If they are in your downline from another Sponsor, then you may not
have their email address, but you should be able to contact them
through SFI's Contact Manager. In that contact try to send them to your
website to sign up for your newsletter, follow up mailing list. Or give
them some reason to send an email to you. That email will have a return
address on it and they will have initiate contact with you directly.
If we look at a new affiliate, starting their Affiliate list, it will
come slowly. But, the time to automate follow up is at that stage, NOT
later, when you have too much to do, anyway. So start early to put
together your follow up list.
You can handle it in the very early stages when you are getting an
affilate or two each week or even each day, by just creating a Welcome
email - then copy/pasting that into a new email addressed to each new
affiliate. (You do know about copy/paste??)
But the problem comes in when you try to keep up with which of your
follow up emails you sent to each person last.
The Smart Autoresponder is the program that solves this problem and
gives you more at the same time.
The Smart Autoresponder is capable of sending out a sequence of email
messages, at specified intervals to a list, and personalizes the
messages with their name and enters their email address and sends the
mail for you all automatically, once you have it setup.
Contact Manager cannot do this for you. It is a Broadcast system. It
sends the same message to a given group of people. But it is for those
affiliates who have nothing better. You should get something better as
soon as you can. The sooner you do, the less you will have to enter
into the system.
There will be instructions for installing the script. Once you download
and unzip the files, look for:
instllationguide.html (they misspelled it) for the steps to install and
00readme.html for the Intructions on Using the Autoresponder.
It will require you to upload files, change permissions on the files,
create a database in MySQL from your hosting control panel, create a
user and set that user's password. But it really sounds more
complicated than it really is.
Note: (from personal experience- I goofed here.)
When you create the database in MySQL and a user and password for that
database it will be
that database name, user and password that you will fill into the boxes
when you run the install.db.php script during the install. If you don't
get this right it will stall on you here. I did not get it right but an
email to support got me help within an hour.
Once installed, you login to the autoresponder by going to the folder
that you installed it in as for example:
mydomain/ema/home.php login and create your follow up email
campaigns.
You could probably get it done in an hour or two.
The next script installation you do will be easier. Keep notes as you
go through the process.
Then you can teach your affiliates to do it.
Remember, Learn, DO, Teach to duplicate and grow your business.

Heads up: There's an ongoing spamdexing of Google searchbot algorithms. Sites that are 'copies of copies' and cloaked sites which include Zorgium keywords presented to search engine crawlers yet garbage content presented to human visitors were hosted on thousands of IP addresses and domains registered immediately after the introduction of Zorgium in November of 2009. The Hostgator/'The Planet'/Softlayer datacenters in Texas seem to be the epicenter of this activity in conjunction with anonymously registered domains of various TLD's but primarily .info domains at Godaddy which, in our opinion, has some sort of connection to the domains of goldmint.in and goldmint.org. Google has begun to notice this and has begun to lower the ranking of these sites and put our original sites back on top of the search rankings. These actions, as far as we can tell, negatively impact the use of the keyword 'zorgium' as a search term and provided little benefit, if any, to the perpetrators.

ZORGIUM note to content providers: If you don't want your page to appear in Zorgium's search abstraction then put an exclusion for "Zorgium" in your web server's robots.txt file.
